The moment that started it.
It started with a flooded basement. We needed an emergency plumber, so we did what everyone does — searched online, picked someone with decent reviews, and hoped for the best. They quoted one price on the phone, charged another when they showed up, did a mediocre job, and went silent when the fix didn’t hold.
A week later, a neighbor mentioned over coffee that her brother-in-law’s company does exactly that kind of work. They were fifteen minutes away, fully licensed, and had a track record of actually showing up. But there was no way we would have found them through a search engine — they didn’t pay for ads, and they had a handful of reviews compared to the companies gaming the system.
That gap — between the professionals people actually trust and the ones that dominate search results — is the problem Ntros exists to solve. The best pros in any neighborhood are often the ones people recommend to friends. But that word-of-mouth only works if you happen to know the right person at the right time.
